Meet Auntie Carey (aka elephant maker, maker of my yellow dancing shoes and photographer). She had to go home to Seattle yesterday so she could start making my Christmas present. Wonder what it will be?

Baby Evan took his first sailing trip with Poppi and YaYa on Thanksgiving day closely watched by Mama. Poppi says he's the smallest first mate on the boat, but he listens very well. :)

We think this is the first of many...

thankful for family...

Baby Evan's great uncle Kurt and cousin Dustin joined the family for Thanksgiving this year at YaYa and Poppi's house.
Great grandma Nana was there too.
We had a great time hanging out with family, and they had a great time hanging out with Baby Evan.

There was a lot of love in the air this year.

We're all so thankful for family.

It seems that YaYa's family is full of puppies (we're a dog friendly bunch) and in trying to acclimate Evan sooner rather than later, YaYa made baby Evan a baby blanket covered with pups.

I think he likes it. :)
although he's not quite big enough to play on it.

Lots of family came to hang with baby Evan.

So much stimulation so early on, often yields (apparently) a kinda fussy baby.

no worries though, mama knows how to cure what ails him.
